If you're an kind of RC car person at all, you've got to be impressed by this guy. The dynamics and technical challenges he faced were almost insurmountable at times - however - he persevered and rose to every occasion. He invested a lot of time, energy and cold hard cash to complete this feat.
Nic Case travelled to Utah this past weekend and this time he finally reached his goal. After years of trying, Nic's RC BULLETT smashed through the 200MPH barrier with a run of 202 MPH !
The tires? John Foister @ BSR bonded special foam to Nic's handmade carbon fiber wheels. Nic never had one tire failure in spite of the fact that they were revolving at 23,000 RPM
Wow.....can you say "Extreme!"
Nic has a lot of paved oval, carpet oval and dirt oval racing experience, and still does a bit of it in Bakersfield California. I met Nic at the fabled RC Thunderdrome back when I made my first ever trip the California in 1992.
I admire Nic's tenacity and technical knowledge. Ain't it cool that we have our own version of Craig Breedlove here in the RC car community? True pioneers in their own right.
