We just got word that Middle River Hobbies will be on-board again this year to provide an on-site mobile hobby store! Big thanks to Gordon and Laura for their continued support from our great ROAR Region 2 carpet track partner from Maryland.

Damn!! Good job, Horsham! I hope they run an F1 or VTA class. If so, I'd LOVE to be a part of it.

It doesn't seem spread out if you're on the west coast. The locals just saved $1500-$2000 in travel expenses since it's being held at the same track twice in three years . Then again there aren't many permanent carpet tracks on the west coast let alone permanent carpet tracks that are willing to host nationals.

The problem with the west coast is unless its up at Timezone or perhaps the place that Kody helps organize it will be an empty race. Just like when it was at Nebraska last year. If there is not a huge local carpet following and close to a bunch of carpet racers its a failure. Timezone was good but I hated that race. Just too inconvenient to get to.

It cost so much money for the host to have the races now and you get near nothing in return anymore. Some tracks it would actually cost them thousands of dollars to host the race due to people not showing up at their other big races the same year and they would loose out on all that track money on top of what they didnt make at the ROAR race.

Im just glad that some tracks actually bid on it this year. Because as of the cut off date for bids no one had bid. Thanks for stepping up Horsham and crew!

EA
We had projected 125 LOCAL entries. The timing was off a little... Next year... next year..

A lot of work was put in to getting it pulled together to bid and was much appreciated.

Our carpet club is awesome and hopefully next year all can come and check it out. If anyone is up for a huge 1 day event... please join us!!!! ECC April 4th!!

Congrats on the getting the nats guys!!
