Either is a good car.
The pro4 has issues with broken fr. diff gears using the oneway.
The Yoko BD has issues with fr. driveshafts seizing/breaking.
I would say if you a newby the belt drive car would be a better option as they are more forgiving in a hit. They dont torque steer and are a little less twitchy in mod and finally the Yoko BD is awesomely simple to work on diffs belts etc because of its design.
The belt drive is a good asphalt car but maybe a bit flexy for carpet ( i'm not sure about this).
Having said that the only breakages I have ever had on my pro4 are the fr diff gears. They are as tough as nails in every other aspect.
In the end I would base my decision on stock/parts availability in your area.
