How about inside Mall of America? Why not take the race to where people are instead of hoping they find us?

Here in Canada we hold the Canadian Nationals right in the center of a busy mall. Incredible exposure for the hobby! Sure the pit situation might not be ideal, but the benefits sure out way any inconvenience for the racer.

One of the best races I go to every year. And they put up an actual road course, not an oval track with a couple of turns which seems to be the norm now.

Mall racing is awesome, tons of exposure to the public and the kids in the mall go nuts cheering their favourite cars. The logistics are tougher but I think the payback for the exposure to the hobby make it worthwhile.

Red Mosquito is a super nice place too! Mod cars on there may not be too fun to marshal though!!

When are you opening back up for the season Monti?

I can't imagine what racing on that traction would be like. It's ridiculous enough for our club racing.

It would be kinda cool to see ROAR step up and organize their own race at a temporary venue (mall, hotel, or somewhere else with lots of exposure) and handle all the logistics. I'd definitely travel for that no matter where it was.

Not sure about that - sometimes they can barely run a race when all they have to do is run a race.

Understood. It's hard work and not all intuition. We tweak our program every year based on what we learn from previous events.

There hasn't been a track mentioned here that I wouldn't be excited to travel to for a race. Hopefully one (or some) of them bid.

I think this where we as a club could step up and help. Man power and track. Problem is finding a place to rent that isn't a bank draining monster... We've been looking but without major support its not really possible in a cool location. Community Centers are possibilities though. Seattle would draw a large local support turn out for sure. Thant's always a big plus...

Hanger 30\CC or Red Mosquito would be cool. Seattle is an awesome town to visit. A bit high priced on hotels but doable. I've never been to Cincinnati which would be cool to visit at least once.

seattle has a good following of racers and i think it would bring a big turn out. but finding the right venue that doesnt break the bank
for the race is key.
