That mount looks nice. But I would consider making it out of delrin instead of alumn to save the weight and would probably be cheaper too. A lot of guys already say the car is heavy (although mine is not).

Nice work!

thank you:-)

holder is approximately 3g, and srg-hr is 21 ... the same weight as a futaba S9650 only.

Built my X12 '15 last night and as usual for XRay it was a beautiful kit to assemble. I used exactly the same components and wiring that I had in my CRC (including a graphite axle). For the CRC I needed to add 24g to come up to weight but with the XRay I ended up 15g over.

Tires are CRC and a trued to 41mm rear and 40.5mm front.

Same motor, ESC, receiver, servo (tiny little airtronics one, can't remember the model but mounted it directly to the chassis with one custom screw hole so not even using the servo mounts), servo saver and body (AMR Light Weight). The XRay is definitely a tank of a 12th scale.

Perhaps this is something that can be worked on for the next version? Who knows. Going to get a Hiro Seiko screw kit for it but can't see that shaving off 15g considering the little number of screws on the car.

The CRC contains a lot more plastic and alloy parts (same parts on Xray are alloy instead of plastic and Steel instead of alloy), that probably explains why the Xray is heavier..... and doesn't break anywhere near as much!

Yeah absolutely. I never really felt like I could trust the CRC for that reason. Just hoping I can shave this 15g with that screw kit otherwise it'll be tough to stay competitive in stock.

Thanks. Which screw kit?

Are the graphite arms/mounts lighter?
