It's very good on high speed outdoor tracks.
I have run it on carpet and it does have a lot of steering, A LOT.
If you're looking for something with more steering than a Speed6, then go for the GSF on carpet, it's a smaller step (and my current choice).

steering rack keep coming apart. the bearings keep slipping out of the rack. happened twice yesterday. once in the mains and once testing on an oval. anybody else having this problem? i have a washer on one side but im thinking i need to add a washer on the other side too. I should not be having to do this on this car. I know its been a problem. Do you think arc has a fix for it? Has it been addressed?

There hasn't been much chatter about steering rack issues but the few i've heard, occurred to black edition cars. Possibly the tolerances are off because anodizing adds a minute amount of material, so ARC may have had a bit too much aluminum removed to account for the anodizing. I've gone through a few arc cars now and they have all been silver cars and zero rack issues. Worse case, install a silver rack.

Mines a black edition. I may do what carnage had done is to have the rack lightly machined and install flanged bearings. but i should not have to do this. ya think? kinda sucks it came apart twice yesterday. gonna have to find a "fix" for this.

my kit one failed after 1 run (1 bearing fell out during the build and 1 after a slight off track excursion).........was told it was an out of tolerance issue... because both bearings fell out. i suggested they might want to change to the flanged bearing type setup...ie same as what xray did when they had the same issue.....anyway long story short, was replaced and i have not had a single issue since........i was going to do the washer thing also, but since having the replacement i have not needed too and still running flawless to date

Mine came apart too, but I applied red loctite and pressed it back in. Never came apart since.

I used a countersunk washer with a .5mm shim to fix the problem.
