This car is very robust so spares will probably never get used. I would get the DCJ front axles and another set of blue springs and focus on lightening the chassis up with aluminum bits like the turn buckles, spool outdrives, and ball studs. And also a set of alloy screws. Then you'll have a hot rod. The ATS is not a must but a great tuning option. I personally like the ATS set up.

thought of some more hop ups. low fric belts and pulleys. clean the grease out of the bearings and use gravity rc anti gravity oil. i remove one of the rubber seals and place that side on the inside where no dirt will get to them. my car is very free rolling. most of the guys around the nw with these are using yokomo pink on front and blue rear springs.

Thanks for the quick replies guys! Doesn't the 2015 ATS version come with DCJs or did I read this wrong?

I believe the ATS kit comes with the front DCJ and the belt tensioner. Great value for the price. The ATS allows you to get any toe angle you need, and adjust how much additional toe you get while cornering. Great tuning aid. I haven't tested it yet, but hope to run it this weekend. The ARC spur is a bit different the rest, so I would also get the proper spurs for the gearing you need. As far as upgrades go, I highly recommend the low friction belts and the alum turnbuckles.

Best way to remove the cup off the arm is to twist it with a 2mm driver, while you have it loaded it'll flick off with a fingernail.
I have broken 2 in the past before I knew this little trick lol.

What is a good starting set-up for 17.5 medium to high bite carpet on the 2015 without ATS? Would box set-up be OK to start with. It seems most set-ups I found are with the aluminum chassis which I do not have at this point yet.

Kit setup is definitely a good starting point, we're actually struggling to find anything better!

I just posted my Black Edition in the for sale forum if anyone is interested. Comes with lots of spares and low friction upgrades. Check it out.

Anyone make a standard steel screw kit for the ARC? Non-stainless?
