Hi guys

I'm interested in one of these kits!

Just wondering what are some good option parts to go with..
I'll be racing on a low - med grip asphalt track.

I'm not super keen on the black addition so I'll get the normal kit. I had on my list ecs, aluminium steering arms, low friction belts & the low grip arms

What spring come standard with the kit?

Thanks

Blen

You would be better off with the black kit. It comes with more upgraded parts for less than you would pay if you bought option parts for reg 2015 kit. Springs are yellow front(hard) and blue rear(soft).

go with the black kit. you wont really need to buy anything else. its fast as it is. but, low fric belts and pulleys are the next step. then dry lube all bearings. i sprayed out all the grease in mine except the really small bearings. i removed just one side of the rubber sheilds then sprayed them out and dropped in some dry lube. car rolls for ever. sheilded side faces out. except in the bulkheads the sheilded side faces in (more exposed on the inside of the bulkheads). dry lube and low fric parts make i good amount of difference. must warn you, the dry lube is spendy but worth it.

yep, If you can, get the black edition. Way better value. As for options, at the very least, get the low friction belts and front DCJs (if going with the normal kit)

Remember guys the Black Edition kit is limited in edition. And they are getting harder to get and find. We were allotted a few more, but that's it. And most of what we are getting is already spoken for......

ARC should release the version they have in Japan that has the DCJ, LF pullies, and spare suspension pieces included. The Japanese site says the black edition is a limited release of 200 worldwide. Their release date is sometime Sept so maybe you can still get one in Japan.

Yes the black edition was limited to 200 world wide. From our understanding ARC is the second best selling car in the Asian market behind Yokomo. We are still the "new guy" here in the US, but all of you are helping that.

First day on the track with the black. Wow. Ran a stock motor to get trims set and see how the car reacts. Ran 5 laps and slapped in the 4.5. Right out of the box, this car was very good. I didn't touch anything. Ran some laps with a very fast mod driver and had no problem keeping up with him. I get to race with Paul L tomorrow, so we'll see how it stacks against one of the best drivers in the world. Guarantee that it won't be the car holding ME back. Very impressed so far. Thanks again Gridworks.

Does anyone know if ARC has a default Carpet setup, (not the 2015 asphalt one in the kit) as I've upgraded to the 2015 from the 2013, however it doesn't feel as consistent throughout the day with the long shocks. Tried stock with 2mm Ackerman as it seems to lack turn in and the rear snaps on throttle. I spent a long time setting the 2013 up to the extent of it being as perfect as I've ever had a touring car set. It's like on the new car every handling characteristic is amplified. Running 13.5 boosted, low-med grip carpet.

Today I got to run the car for the first day of qualifying. Tomorrow we have one more qual and then the mains. Currently sitting 3rd in mod behind Paul Lemieux and Mike Gee. I think Paulie's fast lap was a 13.4. I could only manage a 13.7. Played with shock positions and oil but concentrated more on my own driving and getting used to the car. Steering was good on and off power. As long as I didn't overdrive the car, it was planted and stayed very flat. Great day of qualifying. Very excited to run the main.

Thanks Kevin!

I have blacks on order and I have one or two remaining. After that, they're gone.

You should also see Randy Caster annihilating tracks with his ARC very soon.
