JESUS, are you really going to run these things with a 10.5 and 2s?

Sure, why not?

We will simply keep a shovel and broom at the end of the sweeper.

I mean, how hard can it be, the things are 235mm wide. You can handle that right Kevin?

Nope, 10.5 2s inside isn't even going to be like a land missile, it's going to be more like a land nuke. I woulden't even want to try to drive that!

I would try 17.5 with a 2S. That would be plenty fast.

The rules don't state that one "must" run a 10.5...

Also the Europeans run on 1/8th scale nitro tracks which are outdoors and big.

I'd agree its more of a 10.5 limit then spec motor. The Germans run mod which is insanely fast, something like 6-7T delta winds = 3-4T normally. Think of us as the German mod racers of indoor carpet.

I can better answer that question when I have a vehicle...

Working on it.

Again, it's not about the top speed. It's about having more power available than you can usefully drive. I don't expect to go but half throttle on the longest straight indoor. I do expect to use brakes. This class is not for beginners. This car could run a 25.5 2S and be too much for the wrong skill level. I personally grab way too much throttle coming out of corners because my cars can take it and behave with the limited power, but it's not a good habit. I can't improve my driving unless my car and competition forces me to improve. I don't want to be a mediocre participant race driver anymore. I'm not Ricky Bobby, I don't just want to go faster. I want to accelerate, out brake to the corner, make a clean pass and accelerate away. I need racing etiquette and this I feel is the class to do it. the other would be 12th mod.

On the flip side of this coin: I live 2.5 hours from Leisure hours raceway in Joliet, IL. I will go down there on a Saturday to see what this car can really do on an outdoor asphalt track. If not this year, then next summer.

Any idea when the race would be? Assuming I'm able to fit it in my schedule I'd be game.
