Hey guys, I got my RK10 last fall.Just missed the the end of our asphalt season. So spring is here, time to blow off the dust and get it ready. I'm looking for a setup for asphalt. Our track is 140' 80' fairly free flowing, its prepped with sugar water. We run 17.5 2S . I have been using using RC4LESS (Magenta fr/Pink r) tires on my 10L2 which will be pouting on the shelf this year

Very good choice! Purple or team Purple fronts with and pink or pearl white rears from BSR work. Also Enneti medium fronts and medium or soft carpet rears.

Sounds good. We like the pinks. Didn't like the purples. Have yet to try the pearls

Getting ready to pull the trigger and order one. Anyone have any useful feedback? Any challenges, any praises?

Get Titanium axles and camber turnbuckles. CRC has the axles if Lunsford is out. The upper turnbuckle is M3 x 15. You may want to do a Slapmaster thrust bearing update, but that is up to you. I run 48 pitch spurs so I don't strip them easily. If you run 64 pitch, get high quality ones like the Xenon that comes in the kit.

I've only run the Protoform body and it works very well. Might actually have too much downforce. The car goes where you point it and is very direct. You'll love it.

Fun car, easy to build
Here's a pic of mine
I would suggest the option front bumper, and an assortment of SM springs
Frt: .018-.020
Rr: .018- .024
Feel free to ask if you have any questions about your build
What type of surface do you plan to race it on ?

Thanks for the turnbuckle size. I'll look to order ASAP. I already have a protoform body on the way. I might try the RJ 962 body too to have a comparison.

I plan on using full size 2S lipos just to limit cost of buying new shortys or squares at this moment. I know i wont get to play with weight distribution until I leave the full size 2S packs alone, but is there room on the chassis for electronics running full size lipos- or will I be searching for space?

I'll be running on low to medium traction asphalt. I'm thinking of starting with some BSR pink/ purple combinations and see what happens.

Any recommendations for starting shock wt? And can the shock accept aftermarket springs?
