yokomo r12w help.

Hey guys! need some help with my yokomo r12w. is it possible to use some other brands of wheels for this car or just the yokomo? thanks!

You can use other brands only if you change the rear axle.

What brand of axle?

Any brand axle should work so long as it is the same diameter. I believe the Yokomo uses the standard 1/4" axle that just about all pan cars use. So you could use an IRS, AE, CRC, or any number of other brands. Different brands have slightly different pod widths and off-sets so you will probably need to shim one or both sides to get proper spacing. Probably the safest bet would be the IRS axle and hubs.

I used an associated axel but found the BMI copperhead hub to be the easier hub to achieve left to right balance. I was using Ulti tyres. No need to shim the diff side but had to shim the left side.

BMI gets their axles and hubs from IRS.
