This is in no way the official answer to the "pro" and "sportsman" difference. You can sign up for either class. To keep the playing field close the race director can switch people between the classes. Myron and Robert will decide the cutoff. It helps to keep people more in their bracket. The goal is to keep the racing close. For example: it helps prevent a guy from having multiple laps on the field in sportsman class as well as helping a guy who signed up for pro who maybe running off the pace.

There is no mechanical difference.

Just my .02˘
Hopefully they make the spec tire the same for whatever IIC decides to go with for this year. A number of the TC guys (myself included) use this event for our IIC warmup, and it would be great to be practicing on the the same tire we will be using a few weeks later in Vegas.

Esp since there is 5 days of track time available to warmup

And, since Dirla beat me at Snowbirds in VTA, and hes signed up for sportsman VTA, does that mean I can sign up for sportsman vta as well? LOL

I'm still trying to figure out if we can come this year (too much family stuff going on). Hope so!

I've really enjoyed the event the last two years and getting to see all the drool-worthy VTA cars that show up in Nashvegas. USGT is awsome too of course, but VTA is still my favorite.

For those who haven't been in the past, this article that RC Car Action ran online last year afterwards gives you some good photos and idea of the fun you are going to have.

I would bet that is what we end up going with for TC just have to wait for IIC to make their announcement. What ever tire it is will be available at the track for a spectacular price!

Default I'm in!

Myron, I did the R/C Sign Up but the prices were wrong. I will mail payment or Pay Pal when you post witch one you prefer. We are looking forward to the race this year because there is always a lot of great competition and close racing. We will be making our reservations at the Lovelace Café for a few meals. SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER.
