Thanks. I received the foam tires finally. Now I can't remember what diameter I used to true them down to years ago.

Speaking as one of those non existent foam racers () we tend to run Matrix, VMR or Caprcorn 26mm tires. Normally with a harder front tire. 40 shore at the front and 37 on the rear, or 37 front and 35 rear. In some cases, 37 shore in a front compound with a 37 rear (but this setting is pretty aggressive).
I'd grab a pair of 40's and 37's, then find out what the guys at the track are running...

Hi Dan,
I looked back at some of my setup sheets from 2007 & '08 and found that on Jaco Prisms, I was cutting tires down anywhere around 55.7-56.5mm for high bite carpet. These were generally 1 or 2 run tires though. I also preferred Magenta compound (around 32 shore) front and rear and would sauce the front depending on how aggressive I wanted the car to be.
I would recommend cutting them to 58, try it and see how the car performs. If you feel it's a little too stuck or if it gets tippy, then maybe try truing them down a little smaller. It's a lot better to start big and true them down later if needed than it is to start small and not be able to do anything about it.

Also are most people using the standard hubs or running the new ARS system

SpecR motor mount: A lot of guys from my club are using it and are very satisfied with improved feeling and handling. They say the car is easier to drive and more predictable. But they are also agreeing that it doesn't improve laptimes.

I've done some testing recently with the SpecR motor mount and the kit mount, and I prefer the kit mount. I feel that the stock setup actually gave me more forward bite than the SpecR on medium to high bite carpet. Also, the SpecR pulleys seemed to wobble, causing the spur gear to wobble which made gear mesh more of a pain and made the car sound like poo.

Aluminum chassis
I have been running one in mod for a good 2-3 months now. I must say i love it, gives the car a very direct feel. I had my concerns about bending it, especially after seeing one of my friends destroy his aftermarket alu chassis on his tamiya in one day.
I am here to report that my chassis even after multiple horrid crashes the chassis is still as straight as the day i purchased it.
For those of you who are hesitant give it a go, you won't regret it.

Are the alu chassis good for outdoor tracks also, or is just for carpet?

Is anyone running the are system or just using the standard rear suspension? Under what circumstances would use lean towards one more then the other? I race on a prepped parking lot, looking more so for reedy. When I build it I want to make sure I'm using the correct parts and heading in the right direction from the start. Every setup I see is using just the standard rear end. Thanks

Hi guys, our new RX4-15 Chassis is now available in Carbon. We have been fine tuning the design since October last year and we feel it is ready for release. We have been offering the Aluminum Version on a request basis for some time and have seen a lot of success with it. The production Aluminum ones will be ready in 3-4 weeks and the carbon ones are here.
The Chassis is made in house in Houston, TX. It is made from RSD 3K Weave and is available in 2.0 (Medium) and 2.25 (Hard) Carbon.
The shape profiles for the RX4 -15 have been developed over the past year with a focus to provide your car a more consistent feel and less tire overheating over a run. The design takes flex away from the bulkheads and moves it towards the center of the car which results in a more stable car that is easier to drive at high speed.
Being made from "Quasi" Carbon, which is stiffer due to the construction of the material, makes the 2.0 mm chassis stiffer than the stock unit and the 2.25 much stiffer. We recommend the 2.0 under most conditions, whether asphalt or carpet, and suggest the 2.25 only in extreme situations when only a stiff chassis will do.
