Yes, that could be very much the case. I'm not jumping conclusions yet, but I can exclude any errors from my side. I already emailed Xray (not directly to mr Hudy) and I hope they have something useful to say.
I'm not disappointed, things like this happen from time to time. I know how well your Xray is performing, that's one of the reasons I bought one

Couple questions for you guys:
Anyone use the aluminum screw kit?
How much weight does it save over stock screws?
Are there any high stress areas where aluminum screws aren't recommended?

I use the Hiro Seiko aluminum/titanium screw set that EA sells. This kit is really good because it basically gives you all aluminum screws for the top side of the car and all titanium for the bottom. I wouldn't thread aluminum into the bulkheads from the bottom, but I've never had an issue with alum up top.

As for weight savings, I can't say exactly but I know I needed 2g this past weekend and in order to achieve it I replaced 8 ti screws on the bottom with the kit steel screws.

I have a hiro seiko alum/ti screw set. No problems with TI screws but in my opinion its too easy to accidentally destroy the alum screw heads. I have replaced all the alu screws with stock steel screws as i have damaged a few alum screws and its far too much trouble to remove when the head is destroyed. Weight saving for the entire set of screws is about 20g i think

I'd go with the Hiro Seiko full Ti kit instead. Only a few grammes heavier and no chance of them stripping or breaking. Weight saving is ~18g I think.

I would check the viability of that item/seller. I do not believe Xray offered a conversion kit. I could be wrong, but conversion kits not been offered for some time.

The 2015 car has different chassis, motor mount, bulk heads, upper clamps, servo mount and sway bars.
