Can a 2015 be swapped over to a 2016 chasis or are they completely different? Unable to find an avid alum chasis for a '15. So was wondering if a '16 would work.

The 2016 chassis will be fine.

The Hiro Seiko is the kit everyone uses, and the one you see in all the pictures from the big meetings on RedRC.

The screws are excellent, even the aluminium ones are really strong. I've yet to damage any of them after ~5 months of use.

What are some other good upgrades for carpet? I have a TT alum chasis but may switch to the '16 avid alum chasis (just cause I can't find a '15 avid). But what about carbon arm stiffeners and other upgrades? Who makes arm stiffeners?

Honestly, I would just use the TT chassis because they work well and you own it. And, although you could go crazy with upgrades you don't really need them. Put that money into some tires and bodies and go have fun.

Yea I always wanted the t4 just cause I loved the X-ray off-road stuff. They are imo a top notch company. I raced my xb4 for 2 seasons and literally never broke one thing on it except the plastic wing mounts. I had a t4'15 before but I never got a chance to race it. I sold it to build another off-road buggy. But I'm giving onroad a shot again. As far as the TT chasis I will probably just run it. But the avid chasis is so badass looking.
I have a Schuur speed 13.5 motor I am going to run and I think I want to get a vxx or vx3 orca esc. What esc is everyone running that is good for onroad? And I was going to run a Savox 1258... What servo is everyone running?

If you're sticking with Savox then the 1251 is what you want. The low profile servos fit the chassis and leave plenty of room for everything else. And, they work just fine for TC.

I'm sure any decent ESC will be fine for the spec classes. Really, a Hobbywing XR10 Just stock is probably everything you need so anything more is just icing on the cake. The Orca speedo's I've seen others run have been very good too but I've never personally ran one.

The VXX and VX3 are very good and reliable ESCs made by ORCA. You won't go wrong with it.

I wish I would have kept my vx3 and Savox low pro alum case servo from when I had my other t4. Damn it! Lol. But I don't think I want to get a esc permanently set for stock racing just in case things change. But right now they run 13.5. Would that be considered spec or stock with zero timing? Is spec and stock the same thing?

What spur and pinion size should I run with 13.5? The car came with a 106 spur and I currently have a 47, 50 and 51 pinion in 64p. Should I drop down to like a 96 spur or something like that?

Why is it some of the shims on the T4 are composite and others are aluminum. Just was wondering if there was a reason behind that.

I'm sure it's because the aluminum ones cost more but don't worry about it they all work just fine. Aluminum all around is certainly nice but it won't really matter to the way the car works.

I am going to be running on green carpet track. I already have an aluminum chasis. Are there any other parts I should consider for high traction tracks (graphite arms, alum c-hubs, floating servo mount, etc...)?
Also wondering about the Arms. The carbon stiffeners saying they are for the ARS arms. But will they work on non-ars arms? Not sure why they would only make them for the ARS

Don't know if it still applies to today's material but some manufacturers sometime back thought opposite materials (metal against plastic} have less friction and wear than similar materials (plastic against plastic).

Xray does sell carbon stifferners for the front and rear arms. I don't recall seeing any of the pros using them in their setup sheets.
