I have one and I believe it only has Linear discharge, but it can discharger a pack at 40 amps though. It has 6 fans to keep it cool, and I only really notice them come on when it is discharging. I don't really use mine that much anymore, and I was considering selling it if you are interested. PM me if you are. This is probably the most powerful unit out there for its size. I would say its about 40% the size of a CE GFX.

PS there is at least two threads on this product but they really aren't very active anymore.

All the instructions say is NiCD, NiMH. But I really don't know. If I had to guess I would say no, its still a very good charger though. It has like 6 graphs that it can display and one can tell you which of your cells in any given pack is starting to fade, so in short its measuring each cell and comparing each cell to the others then displaying it for you to view. Another graph measures the pack equallity and gives you a match percentage and a power percentage. Like it might say match 99.2% which means the cells within the pack are still very similar to each other and it might say power 110% which is based out of 120% which means if you have 2 packs and one of the packs reads out 110% and the other 106% then the 110% pack will have more power. Its pretty good charger.
