Just curious, does tech have the same baseline specification and measurements as ROAR list motors?

Our process is probably a little different. We plan to de-solder the wire from the stack and then strip off of the insulation of the wire. I will then take the bare wire and see if it fits between the gap in my front teeth. If it passes through the gap then your motor has passed the wire test.

Enjoy the humor.

As I have never noticed the gap in your teeth then it would be hard to tell how much room we have to work with!

Enjoy the humor.

I am not sure what type and how the checks are performed by sanctioning bodies but if your motor of choice was built to meet those rules I don't see why yours would not pass as long as it was on the list of motors posted on the iic website.

Btw, the gap measures out to be .813mm.

Kraig - when will the Best of Show judging be held for the Spec GT cars ? Hoping before qualifying unless the "24 hr LeMans look" gains extra points ?

That happens at the meet and greet Tues night. So if you run the car during practice Tues you might have some marks on the body...... but they can be buffed out.

You weren't planning on hitting anything in practice were you?

Default concourse rules

A few questions on the concourse rules as the grand prize this year is worth more than just bragging rights.

Are only drivers running in Spec GT eligible?

Spec GT bodies only? Last year we had a few other nice bodies on display but they weren’t on the approved list.

Must the car & body be able to pass tech in its display setup? Last year some cars had display tires and wheels.

What, if any, are the requirements for a winning body being raced? Does it need to be run in qualifying, the mains or not at all?

If it does need to be raced, does it have to have all the “accessories” from the display installed? (I know my car will be seriously overweight but that's ok if I’ve already won a Ferrari)
