The most popular F1 tires, made by Pit Shimizu Racing, have a wide inner contact area. To fit them onto Tamiya F1 wheels requires grinding down the ridges on the outside edge of the wheels. Other wheel manufacturers, like Exotek Racing, make wheels that are designed for Pit Shimizu tires.

Thank you InspGadgt, that's is good to hear. This year will be my 1st IIC, so I didn't know that F1 wheels were provided with hand-out tires in previous IIC's.

You don't need to grind down the ridges...they are made for the Tamiya foam tire rim not the rubber tire rim.

For those who have seen the GRC-130 tires. In terms of tire prep and stickyness how do the GRC-130 spec tires compare to a Sorex28 or an old style Jaco blue?

Anyway, I have tasked the task master to come up with a decision on the F1 tires. I am waiting for his response.
For the Pit Shimuzu tires, you can use the Tamiya "foam tire" wheels, Tuning Haus "foam tire" wheels or the Exotek wheels. Tamiya and Tuning Haus are same offset. Exotek wheels have +3 offset that make a 180mm wide F1 car a 186mm wide car.

Default Spec Grand Touring Racers

For the 10th anniversary of the International Indoor Championships we are proud to announce that the Spec Grand Touring class will also be on Gravity RC "Type C" tire. These tires will be mounted on a Gravity RC spoke wheel. The tire and wheel combination will be available through Gravity RC in the near future.

We are proud that Gravity RC will be the Spec Grand Touring class tire provider!

Is there going to be a charging limit like last year? Think it was a 12amp charge cap last year. Just trying to see if I should invest in a charger. Thanks!

Two things, first is there going to be a ROAR-style check of motor fans? I have been running 2 25mm fans in one of my touring cars because it fits better than a 30mm, so if there is going to be a one-fan-only rule applied to Stock I would like a heads up to fit a single fan.

And, has the carpet from this event been spoken for yet? I searched the thread and found no mention of it either way and was curious.

in the past i've seen people "get away with" 1x 40mm fan -- as this is a common size in different international ifmar blocs

I wish I did know but I don't at this time. I will add it to my list of things to ask.
