That diff ring doesn't even look centred on the outdrive, also appears to be too big.
Something is definitely not right. Disassemble and then send us a picture - some parts may have been damaged and will need to be replaced.

I got it resized and this is mine main question does this ring belong here like it shows in the manual i havent installed it before because it goes over the teeth and it doesnt seem like thats right but i dont know if thats where it belongs and i will be posting more photos soon.

I think your right this is the part number i bought Team Associated 7677 i just did some reseach because you said you thought it was wrong and i bought the rebuild kit for Team Associated 7678 and is this causeing my issue of the stiffness of the outdrives not turning separately and the diff getting really hot.

NitroTC3 uses the same diff rebuild kits as the TC3 & TC4 .. u probably got a kit for one of the buggies/trucks
