I have applied layers of electrical tape to the centre battery stop to push it back out away from the belt on my TC6.1

LOVE the E30 M3 by the way, my favorite ever Group A touring car, the Ford Sierra RS500, Mercedes-Benz 190 EVO II and BMW 635CSi close behind

Thought I'd add some black wheels to give some meanness to it:

Think its time to get to work on this Serpent 747e

I played around with it and it looks like it just clears of the belt when against the battery stop. It should be fine. The tape is a good idea.

A M235i? Very Nice! Must drive nice.... Your RC cars are vary nice too! The E30 is nicely done, as are they all. The Delta Rally is a classic! Your TC6.1 looks nicely appointed. The E92 with the light kit is stellar. What I really dig is the contrasting green track wheels. It looks so scale like many track M3's with those wheels.

Good plan, lets keep going with the love of all things and Bimmers!

The Serpent looks to be a nice chassis? You can actually fit a RX8 ESC on the 1/10? I like the black wheels and the stance the E92 has! You work station looks like a surgeon's table ready for the operation Awesome soldering station too.

The new postings here have me very excited and happy to see others work

She's alive!!

This is my first soldering job courtesy of Youtube "how to" videos!

Viper Z, and M235i,

She had her maiden run this morning at a local park. She handles very well, especially given the 3s lipo strapped in. And the rx8 fits just fine.

P.S. Viper Z,

Regarding my work station, I'd be remiss if I didn't admit that I was totally motivated by your initial picture uploads onto this thread. I remember looking at your pics and saying to myself: "Man, this dude's work station looks official, I need a set up like his." So thanks mate!

That great to hear EVO! Glad to be an inspiration, in any capacity

That 747 is a wicked looking car with the big motor and ESC in it. What class of car is this that is 1/10, uses 3s lipos and 1/8th scale power systems? I bet it flies!!

That's a nice job on your first solder job!

Honestly, I don't know why serpent even came out with the car. Perhaps for oddballs like me. Seriously, its my understanding that there is no class for it. Its a 200mm 1/10 electric designed for foams. The 1/10 electric class is 190mm 540's on 2s with 24mm rubber wheels

She had her maiden run today. The power is insane, but was hard to put all of it down. The motor is a 4pole 4700kv 550. The surface I was on today was smooth but had absolutely no grip. So she spun her wheels a lot on acceleration. I'm going to take her to another lot thats grippier and we'll see how she fares. Now its time to tackle the body

Regardless, the car looks like a beast with that motor, and no doubt is a rocket! With the foam tires you don't have to be as concerned about ballooning. Nice quality parts in that build.

Bring on that body!

@ evo13 great job that chassis and motor/esc combo must be insane , oddball it may be , but the oddballs are what keeps things interesting, it should be considered a test flight more than a maiden run.! can't wait to see the body !
@ viperz thank you for the complements! The M235i is a seriously fun car to drive , ill try to snap some pics of the e30 and gt2 m3 next to my m235i and wife's 335i coupe sometime this week

I could not resist and ended up buying an Associated TC6.2 kit to add to the collection. I'm looking forward to constructing this kit as well. Any more Bimmers or other GTs we can add to?

Wait, didn't you just build one of these, or was it the TC6.1? These cars are addictive man.
