Small trackside scales, which ones are good?
Looking for 4 small scales and figured that someone here could recommend something that has a track history of holding up and being relatively accurate.
Looking for something small and below $15 each.
fleabay has some but I have no idea of quality and accuracy....any help would be appreciated.....thanks in advance.

The cheapest of the cheapest have always been precise enough for me.

Most scales are fairly accurate; I'd buy a calibration weight to check them and a scale that is priced within your budget.
Also, what are you weighing? Parts, or a whole car?

If you want to do 4 scales on each corner of a car, I *think* you will need scales that will do up to 1000 grams minimum. I'd go to 3000, personally, especially if you want to do anything other than pan cars or touring cars.

if your doing that, to eliminate variables, you will need to make sure you are on a flat surface, and have perfectly round wheels that weigh the same all the weigh around. (set up wheels) Not touring car tires or what ever you race, there is also tweak that plays into the car (by twisting the car one way or another you can affect weight balance). As well as shocks play a huge roll in that for weighing corner to corner. Its a good idea to figure out where your car is balanced at because well then everything is consistent. But you have to do it correctly for you to adjust correctly, or else you will be hurting instead of helping. I use this method for electronic placements (excluding battery adjustments for electronic placements)
