1/8 GTe Racing
I searched and didn't find any thread with this topic...
I'm building up a two 1/8 GTe cars now and was just looking for a thread to discuss 1/8 GTe racing and bashing. All the cars look solid and they are tanks on the track. Share you pics, setups, tips, videos, etc :) Kyosho GT2 VE, OFNA DM1, Speed Power E801E, Serpent Cobra GT-e, Team C custom builds, GT8 Lights...

Just got the GT-E together with Tekin RX8 with T8 2650KV which ran ever smooth and quick steering. I am still awaits for an old school Kyosho GT1 Nissan 350Z body due to this short wheel base.
Ran GT2VE for a long time in past 2 years but now testing Hobbywing's XERUN combo with 2200KV in comparison to Tekin along with my favorite Kysosho R8 body. Other GT2VE is for Top Speed bashing with Castle MM2 w/2200KV at 6S in F458GT2 which hard to keep on Ground! |

Viper Z, did you painted that Gulf Mclaren Scheme yourself?
Looks very scale like which I like to get my hand on one someday. |

So far in testing full throttle and corner brake checking:
46/17 with Peaks 5000 mAh 90C which getting good speed and run time around 8-9 minutes. Old School 350Z came in and fitment not bad at all! On our large track we had two E801GTs running 16 and 17T pinions with Speed Passion Blaze 2450kv motors. We were putting in about 3500mah after running 5-6 minutes. We pretty much ran the lowest or 2nd to lowest "punch" DRRS setting and low timing on Silver Arrow 2 ESCs. I tried an 18T and the power was still good, but temp went a bit higher. The advantage on the straight was minimal. http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r...rsRaceway2.jpg These GTe cars are a blast to drive outdoors and they are super tank tough :) |
strapped my adriod phone to see what numbers I get and I geared it 34T/20T on 4s
