Serpent S411 Eryx 3.0

Droop is another tuning option I've been messing with. We start racing at 6pm and our track goes from warm to cold at night. Anyone's thought on changing droop to suit track conditions? More front vs rear? Less vs more? I like how sharp the car becomes the less droop I run but also really like how running a lot of droop can show off how the chassis flexes thru the corner. I tend to run a touch more droop front than rear. 5.8/6 fr ride height with 3/2.5 fr droop. What kind of droop settings are working for you?
Thanks in advance for any replies. Regards Benzaah.

I only run on carpet up here in the great white north. our local track is a small/tight layout. 25x50. I will be buying the RRS, Johnny ran a version of it a month or so ago, seemed to work really good.

Hey guys feel like a real dummy for asking this but where are you mounting the belt tensioner?? Have the 3.0 version...any help or even a pic would be much appreciated.

I personally have never ran one. As long as your belt is adjusted correctly. should not be an issue.

On the top deck. A bit forward from mid point. You will see a hole on the deck. At the beginning, you might not need the tensioner but as the belt loosens up, you might need it (In response to Phoenix82's comment) if you run faster classes. W/ 17.5T class, I don't run tensioner. But since you have it, you might as well use it

Here's a setup I ended up with at the Southern Nats in Nashville last weekend. Qualified 4th, finished 3rd in the 17.5 A-main.
Gravity tires made a ton of grip, to the point that they would feel too gummy as the run went on. The car never wanted to traction roll, however. I ran 0 front camber so that I could drive the car as hard as needed given the grip level. On anything less than high bite or on other tires I'd start at least 1* camber.
The guys that have driven the car initially didn't like how much steering it had, but once you learn to be smooth with the steering input this setup can be really fast. I set full steering lock (knuckle to c-hub) at 100% dual-rate on the radio, and usually ran around 80%. I didn't get to test with an LTCR yet, but I always favor the Mazdaspeed 6.
A tight front gear diff worked well, too. Other things worth trying if you want the car to be a little more comfortable would be a 1.4 front swaybar, LTCR body, and fully long wheelbase.
The car only lacked a tad bit high-speed rotation, but was still comfortable to drive. An LTCR may fix that. It definitely made up for it in the infield.
