Installed the super short big bore dampers last night. The new stays only have 4 different positions.they also appear to limit the downstop setting to about 4.5mm

Usually 2mm to 3mm downstop is the maximum needed...

Bert,
After numerous measurements. I have noticed that my back toe in on the right side is .5 degrees greater than the left side. This is on the ExoSix.

Yeah, the dampers prevent me from setting it to that low. Are you confusing downstop with droop?

Check hinge pins, arm mounts, etc..... It might be that some holes were not perfectly centered, or that the extra right sidde suspension play allowed for the difference .....

Good racing with the Evo6/ExoSix at last weekends big CTS2 race!
Only 2 cars that I know of in attendance but both making the Amain in USGT and 1 actually grabbing TQ (Matt Allen)!

Great race to test new bulkheads...

Any issues with the gears and the open gearbox like that?

Would out the box setup in 13.5t class be competitive or do you really need the exotek conversion?

I think in 13.5 the box stock car is well suited for it handling wise but you just have to watch wearing out the plastic gears due to the power.

With the crown gear shields in place there have been no issues at all so far.
On a busted up surface or street there could be issues but same goes for the open pinion and spur of any sedan.
But we hope to design something and put it on shapeways so that someone can print a plastic top shield if they wish. For now I just attached lexan shields that covers the crown gears. Same thing you have to do on the Evo5 when you run the larger gear diffs because the plastic covers dont fit.

Are there upgrades for them?

For the motor to central drive shaft transfer, yes you can replace those for cast steel versions but for the front and rear gearboxes, no. There was a company in Hong Kong that made a very small batch of cut gears but they are unicorn finds now.

I've been looking at the evo 6 ms kit. Is it competitive with the X-rays and 419's?

Depends what rules you're planning to run the car with. Something like 13.5T you can probably keep up IMO. The newer cars are going to be a bit more refined. If you're running anything lower turn, the plastic gears will give out.
