I mean without hit anything, but only in terms of transmission and mechanic usury, flex, etc.

I'd say it has more flex than an r1 if you only use one set of screws per end on topdeck.
It can handle a mid.motor just fine just take extra care in building and shimming. Stock plastic shims are all too tight. Axles need additional shimming ect.
You could definitely race mod with it but I thibj you would be happier with an r1.

got my kits in and started the build, what a nice kit for the money, the plastic is better then durango for a kit that is 3 times more, not an xray but fit and finish is perfect, best $120 kit by far.
put all the electronics in and went for a drive, and right away its on par with my xray t4 14, I still cannot believe that it costs so little, bought it for my son, and a second for spares but I will built it and run it, and not worry about wrecking it, only $120 great job spec r

Default Shocks?

Did anyone order the metal shock bodies upgrade? Let me know what weight works. I hate paying shipping twice.

you might want to ask in the R1 thread or check out petit rc site (http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/spec...SpecRR1TC.html) for some setups.

overall shock oil weights are dependent on the track you've run at. the kit came with 500wt, a lot of guys have stuck with that. personally, I've gone to 37.5wt, since I knew it worked on my TCXX - but haven't run my spec-r yet to see how it works

almost done building my s2.

So far, I'm impressed. It's not at the level of XRAY of course, but for the price, its an amazing value and I'm a fan of the smaller sized kit manual.

One thing I wish it had, would be to fit an xray spur. I have 0 panaracer slot style spurs for this low of an FDR.

Can't wait to try it out.

Would have been nice if they used the three holes like other makes do but ill take the pancar spur requirement over having to take half the top of the car apart just to change it lol.
for me it means all i ever have to buy are spurs for 12th scale from now on =)

didnt realize you were looking at these john. should bring it over. we will have 3-4 people running this car or similar for our outdoor season.

I have a PRS spur on mine - also, test fitted a kimborough on mine as well.

I like the panaracer ones, but I can never seen to find a place that has them - best I can do is leespeed ones, but have to get them from Hawaii in sub-90 sizes
