The last time I was up there (the Rumble) I was running 102/34 in my tc3 with a monster. With 48 pitch I would start with a 75/25 maybe even a 24 tooth pinion with a monster and those tires in the photo. Go up 2 to 3 teeth for a p2k2.

Don't hold me to it, but I believe that every 0.010" off the comm is supposed to be like advancing the timing by a degree or so. Or something to that extent.

This is called arc.Very bad thing for motors. You want to try to stop as much arc as you can.

Yeah this is Homer just keep going up a tooth until your lap times start to fall off.

Do you know what the amp draw is at certain input voltages like 5 volts? That is how I compare mine on the dyno. Im not sure about watts that must be off the manufacturer's label.
Also, just want to politely point out that they are called "motors" not "engines" ...electric cars have "motors" and nitro cars have "engines."

I just built a P2K2 with F brush's and used it on a small carpet track; it just plain rips. I was able to gear it 7 teeth higher than a monster; it has more bottom and top end. In fact it had so much more bottom end that I needed to change my sedan's setup to compensate for the insane weight transfer. I compared the P2K2 back to back with a monster; hands down the P2K2 out powered it. Now I need to try this motor on a off road track.

4 mag Epic 'stock" motor
What is the current wisdom about the
Epic Binary 2 outlaw stock motor.
It does not seem like it is likely to be ROAR legal. It appears most people still prefer the Monster.
I have 3 of them and they seem to be noticebly better on the big fast tracks I like to run on than any of my other motors.
