Default Only my $.02

P2k, P2K2, GM3, Monster.

From most torque to least and
least RPM to most.

Never ran a Binary.

I like the GM3 best. Good balance for me.

P2K (2) or GM3 in my truck

Monster or GM3 in my Pan car (touring class)

Monster in my B4 too. Gear it low and it flies.

Monster in my 1/12 scale.

A core or MVP needs the brushes narrowed to .145 acording to Jim G. Never ran one, so I can't say for sure.

Waiting for an Orion Stock V2! Maybe the Reedy cobalt but I bet the orion will come first. Have to run T motors till then.

I think they pulled the plug on the Cobalt project (damn shame too)

Team Brood & Big Jim are working on a new stocker based on some of the Cobalt's tech though

Can't wait to see Trinity's crown broken

I made my point. Sorry you missed it.

No one, that I am aware of, is sponsored in the Sportsman Stock Class.

BTW... Expert Stock ran a 20 lap pace. TQ was 21 laps...

Dang...everyone misinterprets my posts.....

First R/C Annonymus does it twice ("rip off the line" also applies to out of corners) And in another thread..I WAS TALKING ABOUT MIXING MOTOR CANS NOT THE BINARY!

Art...I KNOW, I said I'm not sponsored (I'm not running Expert stock) Go figure...

Yea... you should have known that "off the line" and "out of the corner" mean the same thing
Maybe people miss your points because... well... read the above line for an example.... "off the line" and "out of the corner" are NOT the same thing

But wouldn't a motor with rip off the line have rip outa the corner?

Default rip off the line

ya i suppose it could mean teh smae thing. i didnt think he meant quick off the line/all top speed.of course i thought rip off the line= acceleration, just liek rip out of the corner= acceleration. overall more aceleration im guessing and just enough top end not to get killed on teh straight.an i think u need rip off the line cuz that 1st turn is cridicle, almost evry1 pileup right tehre so.
my .2cents ty

I think in tc a p2k2 pro tuned right is really the motor for alot of tracks, the rip is amazing! and the speed is not bad to boot

Default p2k2

pballkid21587-ya man i run p2k2 and its blazin. an its not even tuned. but soon as i get a dremel r drill im goin to polish the bushings and shaft and put new springs and cut comm. now think i have never polished the bushings r polish teh shaft so my p2k should be even faster. man tell u the truth i pass guys on teh straight and in the infield.i run a tc3 wit 72 spur and 28 pinion but now im goin to a 72 spur and 27 pinion for more eccleration.my track is more technical so i need more acceleration through the infield and maybe my times will be faster.

just waitin on my binary stock

i didn't get a chance to read through this whole thread, but which is a better stock motor overall for a tight (not too tight) technical track-- P2K2 or Monster.
i just bought the monster and i got the 4499 brushes for it , now i just have to find the red and green springs. i couldn't really decide at my LHS, so that's why i went with it. in a few weeks though i'm gonna go back and get the P2K2. also are there any others that i'm leaving out?

Oh yeah, i'm thinking about running an 88t spur/21t pinion combo in a XXX-S RTR.
