Default gearing for oval pan car?

Hello,

Its been a while since I raced oval, i'm hoping to run the sunshine tour this year.

for a large size flat oval 13.5 open spedo, 100t spur what pinion would you run?

also if you are familiar with the Daytona race whats a good tire combo for all 4 corners?

thank you

Come on over to the HobbyTalk "Oval Racing" forums.

http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/forumdisplay.php?f=105

A LOT of the Florida guys hang out there and can help you out. Seeing you're in Venice, I'm guessing you're planning on running MTR. Those guys are all over HobbyTalk.

There's also a thread specifically for the Daytona Speedway Spectacular:

Daytona Speedway race run three picks and a purple. 13.5 open gearing will depend on what type esc and motor. Best bet is to go to http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=412109 and post your questions their. Most the Florida oval racers are on there.
