They have an extra metal ring soldered on top of the stator.

Ran my R1 13.5 for its 1st club meet this weekend. Heaps of grunt and just as fast as my HW and D4 motors. So far I've only got it wound up to 25 degrees on the can running 4.3 fdr. I've got my HW at 3.8 and 45 on the can and D4 at 4.0 and 40 on the can to be just as fast. These motors really do like to rev. Can't wait to test it more before the next club meet.

I heard beginning of the year! Sorry. Time to buy is when you see them or else there gone.

I'm in need of a new 17.5 motor for my TC and I am considering the R1 and Trinity D4. Has anyone seen a noticeable performance difference between the standard $90 and the V7 Premium $130 motors? Thanks

The standard version is plenty fast, but the Premium version has a little bit more. Forget about the D4.

My son runs the ultra premium in his 21.5 TC and it is noticeable faster than the standard version. The other drivers who have the standard version commented on how much faster it revs and pulls harder out of the corners with the same gearing.

I picked up a 13.5 Ultra premium V9 to run in 1 cell 1/12 blinky. What's a good starting point for timing and rollout? Large, high bite carpet track
