I've had HB kits but decided to go with a TC7 as my next car this year. I don't care about the race team but the fear I'd have is no more parts support. If Traxxas revives racing that would be good......

I'm not sure how far the R8 will go, given that their star remaining on road 1:8 driver Adrien Bertin has not been running it as much as in the past. Plus Gilles left, and he was about the only other decent driver they had, having left to Infinity.

Traxxas is not a RC RACING company. They sell r/c toys to pay for their full scale SC addiction. Nothing wrong with that!

They were in the 90's before they went RTR.- Off road. With what they have been doing quite successfully I'm sure it will be much better soon.

Smart move, ...I gave up on HPI/HP long ago. Got burned on buying too many kits that got discontinued after only several years of production. I don't feel much for HB/HPI.

Team Associated is a much better co' in my opinion which will provide support for what they create. I too am thinking of a TC7 (or Xray) for later this year as well.

Well the only reason I got my Cyclone TC was because it was used and a deal I couldn't pass up a few years ago. I've had a lot of Team Associated cars, trucks, and buggies and never had any issues getting parts so that kinda swayed me.
