Asking this question will get you allot of different answers. Sponsored drivers will say the company they run for is the best until they switch to another company. Paying customers will most likely say the companies packs they buy are the best. Do you know of anyone who buys something and he doesn't think is the best.

There are many good companies matching cells. My advice is for you to get them from a company that has a good reputation and stands behind it's products. You may want to consider the size of the company as well because this will typically mean that they do more cells thus having a better supply of good cells.

You should also consider IB3800 they are proving to be faster than GP cells. This past weekend they broke the world drag record, TQed and won two 19t,one mod class at 2 big races.

Please answer this. I have heard from a few matchers about the IB venting during matching and they are high maintenance. By high maintenance you must always store them properly. I know the same with GP, but if you got lazy for a week, sometimes it happens. I know it's new but many people have told be stay with the 3700. It's a new cell has IB straightened out the issues, Promatch came out and said they have stopped due to concerns.

I'm in the market for new cells for Las Vegas and am not sure which way to go. 3700 or IB3800. Again I'm sure this will create a lot of chatter and debates. I'd like to hear from the guy like me thats about to lay down 200-250 bucks for new cells what their experience is and NOT from a sponsored driver pimping their sponser.

I personally prefer Fusion Batteries. They are not only a great value they are one of the best performing batteries I have used.

I was in the market a month ago, and I did spend 230, and I did get GP3300's. But if I had a Smart Tray, and a high amp discharger, I would have gotten the IB's in a heartbeat. I was considering buying them anyway, but decided against it for the well being of the cells. (You) Being a racer on his way to a big race, I am assuming you have the hardware needed to take care of the new batteries. With that said, I think you are well equipped to handle the IB cells, provided you have the equipment and will to keep them at peak performace. And when you think about it, it isn't hard to take care of them, it is just that you could drop a GP cell on concrete a few times and it would still perform. So compared to the GP's, it appears you have to treat them like a million dollar glass vase. BUT- in reality, all you have to do is use a high amp discharger for a minute or two, then equalize them on a Smart Tray or something. And if you aren't going to use them for a few weeks, put a little bit of charge in them. If I am correct, the only real controversy about the maintenence was what to discharge them to- a .9V cutoff, or bring them all down to 0 volts. I am about to pick up a Smart Tray soon, so I KNOW that my next pack will be some SMC IB3800's. Good luck with your choice.

lol that aint the fastest car ever....electric record is something like 110mph.

its a modified 10th pan car, with 24 cells, brushless motor (i think) and a highly modified shell and tyres to withstand the stress.

its on rc car action somewhere i think.

just got aload of ib38`s from EA
i`m under the impression same way as GP33`s
except this time i have purchased 2 novak flatliner tray`s for the IB`s
safer way to do it them chuck a piece of wire between them
