Spec motor - "M" brushes
We run a special class at our track; "Beetle Cup Spec Class." The long and the short of it is that we use a spec motor, open chassis, spec gear ratio, rubber tires, and the HPI Beetle Cup Body. It's sort of an "IROC" class, since everyone's car is about the same speed (since they have the same motors and gear ratios.)
The Spec motor is an unmarked stock motor, but it's in a modified-style blue can - it has ball bearings and stand-up brushes in it. The brushes have an "M" stamped on the back end of them (where the leads go into the brush.)
Question 1. Anyone know who makes these motors, and where I might get more of them?
Question 2. Anyone know where I can get replacement "M" brushes? I don't even know where to start to look.
Thanks in advance. If you need more info, I can go dig my car out and see what's stamped on the endbell and labeled on the armature.
