This is my Pro1 which i abandoned for 15 years and it has spent that amount of time forgotten and caked in dust.

It now has a HPI heat sink motor mount for a Pro2 which i have nvr managed to fit correctly and gave up (all coz i fitted the plastic bearing guide the other way all those yrs ago lol), rear hubs, front hubs and carriers off an Nitro Rs4 3, front carbon graphite arms off a Pro 2 (i would put in the rears but it would mean shortening the wheel base by afew mm. no way).

And now i have hit a wall. Becoz i used Pro2 arms which forced me to use the Nitro Rs4 3 hubs and carriers coz the original ones wouldnt fit, I would need (actually, i think its more of a want) to convert the front upper arm assembly from the Pro1 as seen in the pic to the Pro2 type. i am sure i can use longer turnbuckles, but i rather not.

So if anyone has any idea where i can get the parts tree A371 and A352, i will be eternally grateful. Epay has someone trying to sell off old parts off a Pro2 used, for 20 pounds. no ******* way.

Other stuff i want to do to his car, convert to hex screws all around, CF belt tensioner which i have but not in this pic, convert the bellcrank linkage to a turnbuckle ( the n shaped wire has alot of slop), purple aluminum posts, MIP CVD, purple hex adapters. purple bulkhead brace.

Actually i have quitted RC for 15yrs or so but i just couldnt bear to leave the poor thing lying there anymore. not that i am coming back to the hobby but its a project for kicks. cheers.
i did the same thign with my bearing guide, bought 3 or 4 of them before i realised it was backwords

The bloody heatsink plate is misleading aint it. That recessed area on the outside looks like the guide is supposed to go there. Damn it.

Once again, thanks.

I bought this girl in 1999 or 2000. Very little run time. restored to fairly original condition. I have a lot more where this came from.

Wow the Rs4 Rally is beautiful. Where did u get that purple spur gear hub and that piece over the spur gear; is that an original hpi part?

Also have a couple of questions. the 4 screws that screw down to the front bulkhead. Has anyone of you ever experienced the threads in the bulkhead stripping? Cause i think i can never tighten 2 of the 4 screws. What can be done? I mean, i could buy the bloody aluminum bulkhead but it costs USD33 on ebay which i feel is an preposterous amount to ask for for such an old part...

Also, as far as i remember my old single belt RS4 and this Pro, even my friends' Pro2 have experienced the motor can scrapping on the floor. Is this a common trait for the car or is there something that can be done to prevent this from happening.

Last question. The Pro 1 front upper arm linkage (turnbuckle) vs the Pro 2 (A-Arm and screw). Which is better and stronger? I am contemplating a conversion to the Pro 2 front upper arms, i just want to be sure its worth doing... they seem quite a fair bit stronger.

Cheers.

Yeah it's HPI part number 72039. They are getting pretty hard to come by.

Wow I remember racing at Willis basement and on one Friday nihgt fourteen out of the sixteen TC cars where hpi pro -2's. The hpi graphite Pro was my first serious race car. Most hpi cars today are shelf queens. There should be HPI vintage class. Pro -3 and older with open motor rules , no weight limit but a track spec tire.

Default My rs4 pro collection

Hi guys I'm a hpi rs4 lover from Australia , here's a few pics of my collection I've been hunting these cars now for 16 years and I still use most of them , I've just had major surgery and I'm off work and can't do much so I pulled my cars out and have been slowly rebuilding them all
Hope you like what you see

The last shot is my latest shell being a r32 skyline 4 door , I also drive one of these cars

I know it's not an RC car but I just had to put it up
