Default Where are the Jaco Blues?

As an "average joe" local racer, I'm getting very discouraged at the unavailability of Jaco tires. Seems you have to really know someone "in the loop" to get your hands on a set. Its frustrating enough to make me consider selling my Xray and getting into another class like the new LM prototype cars or even a Mini. I have no issue with other tire brands at all, but dished wheels on a sedan make me vomit inside.

If another tire company is listening, please give us another option for spoked, premounted, 30-32 shore rubber tires.

Rant over

They are only used at big races it seems. Most clubs have went to the Sweep True Blue spec tires.

Solaris Mediums work well as an alternative. They've got a nice spoke rim.

The majority were all purchased for last years IIC race and the remaining supply was horded for the several months to come. But if you want to know the truth and also, were the remaining supply ran off to, look at all the photos at the snowbird nationals..... Damn near every pic that has been uploaded you see Jaco's all over the place, every touring car is running Jaco's

That's because the Jaco Blue is the spec tire for the event...

Both the Sweep 32 and the Solaris Mediums are suitable spec tire alternatives that offer comparable performance... If you like spoke-style wheels, use the Solaris tires...

There haven't been any available since September. Even RC America stopped carrying them quite some time ago and switched to Sweep QTS 32.

GP even asked me where I was getting them from because Jaco would not get back to them when contacted by their buyer.

You can occasionally find them in obscure places and usually at a premium, search JAC2432

I heard a rumor that Jaco sold out and was purchased by BSR.

should this be a concern for a club that is thinking of using jaco blues as the spec tire for the track?

Run Solaris premounts or Tamiya Premounts. Both are on spoked wheels.

Yes, right now, IMO, Sweep has the most stable and consistent supply.

That doesn't mean there are not other options for a club now or in the not so distant future.

Yes Jaco and all of its products were purchased by BSR. BSR has already had the wheel mold fixed so that the hexes fit tight now and the plastic has been changed so there is no wheel warping any longer. The supply of Jaco tires will be plentiful in the next month. BSR will continue to use the Jaco name and wheel for tc and 12th scale tires.

The Jaco blues at birds were a refreshing change. They reminded me of blues from 2008/2009 ... They lasted forever at birds so i was able to return tires! This is a winfor racers...
