Someone should get a radar gun. I bet its at least 75mph with all that straight.

Top speed on the back straight has been clocked as high as 75 mph (120 km/h).

Yep..... Alot of racers are one running them.
Sets are not the same..Apparently the inserts aren't the same in each set.

Well it makes complete sense to choose tires for the most important race of the rear that no one has ever run. That are not proven to work anywhere. And are hard to procure.

Some pics from the warm-up including the top nine over the five minutes from the seeding rounds. Heats are being seeded on fastest three laps and there will be three rounds of qualifying on Friday and another three on Saturday (round-by-round). There have been a few tyre blow-outs but with cars clocking over 70 mph these things can happen.

Yes tire blow outs can happen. But different inserts can't. Hope the tire company can fix this problem fast. It may not be to late to switch to a proven tire. Racers may have to pay a little more. But these problems will go away. And the drivers can focus on racing
