Kyosho Inferno GT2 VE to GT1
Hello from France,
I have a brand new Kyosho GT2 VE with a splendid Audi R8 but, in my region, we race Short Wheel Base bodies...
I'm looking how to convert this 360mm GT2 to a 325mm GT1.
Which chassis plate must I order? (inferno Ve??)
Rear drive shaft?
Chassis Brace???
Thx,
Romuald

Why do you have to change anything?
Why not just learn how to set the GT2 up instead?
Did you guys make the GT2 not legal to race in your rules or something?

Hello Jspeed,
all is well here, we raced our second leg of the Challenge GT8. Some pictures on another thread.
I have to change parts because there's only 7 bodies homologated in our GT8 Challenge.
- Porsche 911
- Citroen DS3 WRC
- BMW M3 DTM
- Mercedes C-class DTM
- Lancia Delta Integral
- Fiat 500
- Peugeot 205 T 16
All are short wheel based!!
Can you help me,
Thx.

Because of that stupid body rule, you’ll need to buy a new IGT1 or 777 chassis plate, servo tray, both center shafts, correct pinion cups and both chassis stiffeners if you wish to race with your Kyosho GT in France.
The best way to really fix your problem is to expose those who don’t really care about the health of GT racing, but only wish to restrict participation in order to extract money from the class by imposing such a stupid body rule in the first place.
It is greed and exclusionary rules that are killing GT racing around the world today, you might want to do your part to help fix it too my old friend.
Good luck!

Hello JSpeed,
you're wrong!!
It's because we decided to have restrictive rules (the same set of hard compound tyres provided the morning of the race, low grip bodies, real looking bodies for spectators...), our GT races are growing and growing since 5 years!!
And now, several Kyosho racers wants to join us because of the rules!!
So, if you can help me with the # parts they need to convert, it will be great!!
Regards,
Romuald.

No dude, I’m far from wrong, lol
Here are a few quick questions………
How many of those “7 approved“ bodies are made and sold by the same company?
Is that the same company that supplies the only tires you allow to race GT in France too?
Are those bodies actually officially licensed by the original manufacturer or are the unlicensed “bootleg” copies?
Wouldn't it be funny if companies like Porsche BMW & Mercedes got upset about the theft of their property and production of unlicensed GT bodies was forced to stop?
You have 30 GT racers in France now, after 5 years of GT racing……. So, is that what class growth really looks like?
Anyway my old friend,.........you can still download the original Kyosho IGT1 manuals that has all of the part numbers on Kyosho’s Japan website; maybe even from Kyosho America’s site too.
You’ll be able to find all of the part numbers you’ll need, since I already listed all of the differences between the IGT1 & IGT2 chassis in my previous post. Good luck!
