We've covered and exhausted the programming box argument. 90% of the adjustments most programming boxes can do , can be done using the led tree and 2 buttons on the front of the esc.

I'm impressed and looking forward to giving it a try when you update it to include Gen I ESC support.

Seriously? You're threatening a company that is releasing bonus software for an electronic device that's 5 years old? I'm tickled that my old RS speedos are still competitive.

Nice work Tekin. Can't wait to start using the app.

Unfortunately we did not complete the work to make it work with the Gen1 products in time for the release deadline we had set. We have released a Beta version to see how it goes with all the different devices and versions of the Android operating systems while we finish up the rest of the features and compatibility.
Thanks for explanation, Jim.

A simple one line explanation would have cleared things up in the release notes. Something like "Gen 1 RS/RS Pro support coming soon". Not stating this implied that it won't be supported.

You need a Micro USB Male to Mini USB Male Adapter Cable, or you can get a Micro USB OTG to USB 2.0 Adapter to adapt the standard large USB to the micro USB.

I went the second route, cost me $2.88 to my door.

Beta programs always has problems. They're probably get some complaints, complaint that will get to the final set ups. Be patient people!! They'll get it right. Maybe next year!!

Why didn't I think of that That would have been the intelligent way to go about it, but no, I had to do it the hard way..
I found, by ordering the wrong cable that there are two types of usb, A and B in all sizes.

What about this?

That's a male to female, won't work. It looks like the mini end is male, but it's female if you look closer. It almost got me too when I was researching which to buy.

Guys, let's clear the air here a bit.

I can't think of very many companies that engage their customers quite like we do. We answer your questions and concerns frequently and in public.

We chose to go with the Gen2 esc's for a reason. Sure we're not inclined to say why that is but we have our reasons. We're not here to educate our competition.

The current app as it sits works on all of our "current" esc's which happen to be RS Gen2, RS Spec, Rx8 Gen2, and RSX.

Future support will be granted to the other legacy products as the The Prez stated.

As has been stated previously each compatible device requires it's own OTG cable. Simply google search "Your device" OTG Cable and they should be easy enough to find.
