We've got better than that, how about some Lucha Libre?

Sarcastic answer, yes black round ones.

Real answer, no not yet. I imagine it will be a couple of weeks yet as Rick and his team just got back from the Nats this week and samples were still being sourced for testing.

I am sure once one is chosen it will be announced. Until then, we have to sit back and wait.

We are in contract talks right now. I don't want it to go to arbitration then it is one or the other.

Will entries for modified stay open if limits aren't reached?

If there are not enough entries to require a lottery, all entries received prior to the deadline will have the opportunity to pay by the payment deadline to secure their spot. When the payment deadline passes, drivers will be able to enter and pay on a first come, first served basis until all spots are filled.

Since you specifically asked about modified there is always a chance that, depending on demand, we will adjust the entry limits for each class. If after the lottery and payment deadline we have excess demand for 13.5, we may add a heat (10 drivers) and remove a heat of modified.

I was under the understanding that Factory team drivers are not eligible to run in the 13.5 class.
Clarification please...
If the MOD class is not filled, can some 13.5 entrants that didn't pass the lottery move to mod without having to re-sign up?

This is how we defined Factory Sponsored:
Factory sponsored drivers (those whose travel arrangements are paid for by their sponsor and/or are paid a salary to race) are not eligible to compete in the 13.5 class.

I think it is possible to move the driver to mod with no problems if we do not add a heat of 13.5 instead.

Thanks Rick... but how do you know who paid for what with regards to sponsored drivers.
Is there a way to check or purely an honor system?

Isn't Bob an associated employee? Not that I mind since I really like Bob and he is a wealth of information that has helped me in the past. I'm just a little confused with the definition if there is no way to check.

Like my signature states, I should stop whining now...

We have a good idea of who the factory guys are. We are looking to prevent factory guys who are normally racing modified from stepping back into the 13.5 class.

Your example is a driver that normally races 13.5 and 17.5 at big races - and is not a dominant force. While he does get his way paid to races (he attends a couple travel races per year) it is as an engineer and as someone to assist other racers, not as a pro racer.
