well i dont think you would have to have the MS because then you would have two MS chassis but yea i do argree you would at least have to have the suspension upgrade

Why i don't buy the LWT suspension is because i ONLY run on carpet and it's pretty wide spread that the old suspenion performs better on carpet tracks. I will probably try the LWT suspension this winter though.

Then it's a problem that's very easy solved with some grinding and countersunking.

$200USD sounds very reasonable considering the amount of parts you will be getting. I was expecting somewhere between $250-$300USD.

Can't wait for this upgrade, it will make the 415 the perfect belt drive on the current market.

Comparing the MS-X of Satoshi's and the normal MS, the two main chasis looks identical. Oh well, it will always be good to keep a spare chasis in the pitbox.

Does the MSX conversion can be installed in the normal 415?

well, theres no Yes or no yet , just some ideas and comment from drivers.Lets see when its out.

I dont really like the old arms. I rather stay with the regular 415 (04 arms) if the conversion does not fitt.

ok, this is from tamiya.

the conversion will work with the standard 415 if you have LWT suspension

Last time I looked, the chassis is different. There are small differences here and there. I'm not sure about bulkhead screw locations, but I believe that they are not the same.

what id like to know is if the ms owners can just buy the bulkheads, or is the actual chasis and uprights different as well, im hopping to just get bulkheads as i just purchased a spare ms chasis.
AS i understand it, the chassis is 2.5mm thick, without the screw holes for the chassis posts. Also, from the images so far, the shock towers (at least the front one anyway) look distinctly different to both the MS and Std tower, more like Marc R's prototype one...

Still, hopefully I'll have enough funds for the conversion when it comes out....

The MS-X chassis will be different if not just for the rear bulkheads. The MS-X bulkheads are longer and probably different screw locations. Since the MS suspension pin is 46mm compared to 48mm for the regualr 415, and you have more than 2mm in spacers, you should be able to mount a regular suspension. The difference might be where the droop screw goes through the A-arm and if it will still hit on the chassis.

just got this from rainbow ten...

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your E-mail.

So far, TAMIYA JAPAN has not announced about the release of TRF415MSX conversion set.

We will update our page when they do.

Rainbow Ten

Interesting....

Also I doubt if the bulkhead screws are in a different position, given the cost of remanufacturing such items (with regard to tooling etc). To me, the MSX bulkheads look to be based on the MS bulkheads, with the chassis mounting holes in the same place, and the major difference is in the upper part.
