Default gearing

we are working on gear ratios for the car in 17.5. I am starting with a 76 64p spur and charging pinions until we get speed and low temp on motor. stay tune for results.

What's a good tire choice? I'm assuming 55mm?

Ride inch up are good.. They're 60D. You have to use them with the ride rim.. They basically increased the rim diameter and offset that with lower side wall.

I have used Sweeps with good success as well. They're 55 but your stuck with their rims. Their pink inserts are the best

Pit Shimizu are also very good. They're like Sorex for Minis. They have 60D classic inner mesh that come in S M D shore in both slicks and threaded.

Then they have 55D slick racing inner mesh series that go from 40 shore down to the 24, plus an sp rear slick for RWD cars. Throw out the inserts and use sweeps.

Tqrcracing has all these in stock.

Forgot to mention I'm looking more for treaded tires. Will run this with a 27 turn brushed setup and switching back and forth to 17.6 also.

one way diffs are over rated... I found that they are not worth it when trying to brake into a corner, the rear will kick out from behind you like butter. I found a front spool to be much better for me when I did testing with a FOW on a TC a while back.

You may be able to use the one from the TOP Photon

I would email "T.O.P. Racing USA" <topracingusa@yahoo.com> and ask to make sure

thinking of getting one of these for our open 4wd mini class.
Have you guys been able to get parts easily? I see TQR has some parts ...yet I don't see a lot like belts, chassis, etc.. are all parts available somewhere? My hesitation w/ purchasing is parts availability. What if TQR stops caring parts ..then am I stuck?

thanks,
