very beautiful and clean setup.

On the gear diff, the only change was the o-rings. I use the same o-rings on my SabreFD Mini's gear diff and the leak stopped.

As for stabilizer, I made a set for my FD Mini but for the 4WD Mini I was able to tune everything using various springs I bought and changing pistons.

Yeah, I am not a fan of those 60D S-Grips. They are too meaty and sidewalls soft unless you use some super firm inserts.

thanks mate, what O-Rings do you use? so i can fix the leaking on the existing diff housings too.

and i am gonna use real TC tires. i will try my best in the Tamiya Euro Cup (TW Class)

i will upload pictures later this week...

in addition; i also have some troubles installing the ESC, and was also wondering if it would be ok, mounting it on the Servo.do you have a good experience with that mounting place ?
thanks

Aitutaki- For the o-rings I'm running the PP-GDRS01
I use a dab of AE Green Slime as well during assembly.

http://www.top-racing.jp/ and go to Sabre Optional Parts/Drive Train

Huh, TC tires, huh? cool, looking forward to your pictures.

As for the ESC, I'm okay with the placement over the servo since everything is fairly low anyway; it hasn't offset anything drastically. I do not get any odd left to right turn bias. Car turns very evenly while accelerating out of a turn left or right.

Thought I'd post these pix of the Mini build and ask for a baseline for gearing for a 17.5 motor with 48p gears.

Carpet set up.

I decided to Unshelf the Sabre queen now that we have a carpet track here in LV.

Does anyone have a carpet set up that works to post?

Has anyone figured out how to mount stabilizers to the front?

If I ever need one, probably make something like what I did on my FD-mini.

The rear was pretty straight forward using this set

http://apexhobbies.3dcartstores.com/...01_p_1874.html

How did you attach the linkage to the arm? The arm is designed for the linkage to be entered in the centre.. and a 3 mm screw slides right in.. so you can't use the hole.

Hey All, old thread, I know. Curious what treaded Shimizu tire and wheel everyone was running on these for asphalt and carpet? Looks like the hard tire is impossible to get ahold of now.

For Carpet i recommend the Pit Shimizu inner mesh series.. they come in a range of shore from 24
Up to 40. I'm running 30s on all 4 corners with sweep hard inserts

The best place to order these is through banzai hobby in Japan.

Tq carries the 60D series which are s m h. I have never run those personally or the treaded..but Shimizu is an awesome tyre

They work with Tamiya m chassis rims.

The wheels I use go with the body I use.

The wheels listed below this link will work as well..
