Also, look at the publishing industry as a whole, the sales of magazines and newspapers are way down. Newspapers and magazines are going out of business regularly. The Internet has changed the way information is delivered to readers.

Magazines have a 3-6 months lead time between article preparation and publishing. Who wants to read old news? Many people turn to the web for up to the minute information on their hobbies and interests. RC Tech forums and other web sites/blogs are an excellent, timely source of help and current news tailored to specific interests. Why pay for a magazine full of content and ads that does not interested you?

I buy a copy of RC Driver or RCCA once or twice a year, maybe, if something catches my interest. I don't see this changing any time soon.

I subscribe to Xtreme RC Cars, and now i have not gotten a new edition since december. Is there no new edition released?

Not that i miss it since 99,9% is off-road, same with RC Car Action.
Subscribed to them for 5 years+, don't bother anymore since it's ALL off-road! And they keep nagging me to renew, both by snailmail and email...

XRC closed its doors.......some of the staff went to create Velocity RC Magazine.

Probably hosed on your subscription.

Although i love surfin the net, and finding some great rc content just about everywhere, i love having the latest issues of rcd within arms reach of the throne. I won't dare to take my droid in there for the very realistic fear of dropping it at the most inopportune time into the worst place. The laptop doesn't go in there for pretty much the same reason...nnever did get that mouse to work again....
so for me, i just love a good magazine in the right place.....
