Received mine yesterday.

Built in 6 hours.
If laps In my basement are any indication the car is night and day from the 6.1.

We'll see how lap times are on Friday.

Questions?

Did you still have your 6.1 to compare it to or at least is it on the same lay out so you know if its better?

I will have both cars and run them back to back.

there is no question in my mind that the 6.2 will drop my lap times.
The accuracy of the build and the balance of flex left to right can only make this iteration more consistant.
To me that means I can push harder through a wider setup window.

I, ll see friday.

I feel the quality of the kit and build was good.
Having said that I've never had quality issues with associated products.

DJC.

The actual lap times are only part of the picture. The most important thing is that you compare completed 5/6 minute races. An improved car can be faster but it can also be more consistent or easier to drive. Even if you lap times are not faster, you may be less prone to crashes which in itself will improve your speed.

I think the wrenching aspect of the .2 is what will set it apart from the .1. The arm mounts alone are worth the new kit. Plus it's a new kit from AE so win win..... same goes for the B5's...new kit love.

Questions?

Do you actually have some form of a track in your basement?

That would be cool even if smallish, would like to see a picture or hear more about this.

Back in the day Rick said that the dual crank steering was not needed. Why does the 6.2 have it then?

That being said mine is on order.

I went and ran my TC6.2 last night at the carpet track.
Build went well no issues going together and no missing parts.
I decided to build the car straight from the kit no changes or add on except shock springs and oil.

Car weight all steel screws plus adding motor fan 1363g

The chassis was flat after assembly. tweak was good.
Car was pretty easy to drive after getting reacquainted with carpet again.
Ran all night and the only part broken was the servo arm.

Lap times were very consistent, it seemed fast to me but didn't have anyone to directly compare to. I was .7-.8 off of mod with a 17.5t and Jaco Blues, everyone else was running Sorex 28, I think.
