as with stock being super competitive i need to be tight to the boards. i don't usually tap OUT! i guess i am frustrated by the X cars bouncing off the walls with no damage.

does the RSD021-4 work with the associated DJC coupler & axle?
I know where you are coming from, Im solo at my track against a fleet of brand X. But I hold my own...trial and error is my poison lol

not sure about the RSD parts...I try not to used to many aftermarket parts anymore if AE has them. I however been using the Tuning Haus c-hubs and going to try the CVA bones too..

interesting... yes i run a spool. mostly because i don't like a lot of steering.
our tracks are small as well. 36x50. i put in the new axles to get rid of the front chatter.

I find with the AE DCV you have to check the capture rings on the coupling tubes from time to time. They do tend to pop out of the channel allowing the pins to slip out. This is even when they are oriented the correct way. I was considering a set of RSD as they use a set screw like a MIP CV, however it looks like RSD has gone to the capture ring as well.

Maybe I'm out in left field, but would shrink wrap help retain the rings? Is there room?

That's a great idea provided it clears the CHubs. My Tuning Haus aluminum. Ones I've already cleared aluminum away with dremel to stop binding. What's a bit more..

On my TC6.1 for VTA, I ended up removing the DCV and using the single. I don't think there is enough room with the plastic CHubs and I would not remove any material for clearance. Those break often enough. The one DCV on one side would alway pop apart. It may have been a faulty coupling tube, however I tired of not finishing so took them off that car. I can't say I miss them

Sorry I haven't been on much this past week or so, been super busy. Got back to running outdoors this past Saturday and will be spending the next 2 Saturdays at Tamiya Raceway. Just practice this week but the following has a club race that has an extremely impressive entry list so far with 19 mod sedan entries. With the Reedy Race and ROAR Nationals both being held at Tamiya this year I'm sure everyone will have their game face on and the competition should be great!

hey tc6.2 owners... need some help on spool vs. gear diff in the front.
i DON'T LIKE a super twitchy/steery car. So i understand that a spool will make the front end a little "pushy". that's what i run. can i get that same feeling from a gear diff... with 1-2 million fluid? will a gear diff save my djcv from blowing up?
i run 90% of my races on a 36x50 carpet. traction is LOW to medium by the 3rd round and mains. i need ALOT OF GRIP.... right at the 1st time the car gets on the track.

any help is appreciated!

I'm using a Airtronics 94647 Low Profile Hi-Speed in my TC6.2.

I was thinking of trying this Lee Martin Xpert PI-3401 in my next TC6.x
