Its not in the manual. Its from the X1 Facebook group. Lots of info there including Jan's recent setups. He also answers questions regularly there.

Hi, so far which body works best at xray x16, what have you tested?

Front and rear wing use original or ETS wings best

Thanks.

Can anyone suggest a starting gear ratio for a 13.5 1s setup for a short indoor carpet track?

Be careful of that X1 setup attachment. There are inconsistencies and vagueness in some of the explanations. I would not follow it too closely. There are other 1/12th setup guides that are more accurate in their explanation.

Could you be more specific?

Do all the protoform f1 bodies fit the 2015 or 2016 X1?

Which body should I get for asphalt tracks?

2016 Xray body is the best body, fits well and handles well. Also, since the driver is molded in it lowers the center of gravity and makes the car lighter.

It is however, in my humble opinion, the worst looking body. Mon-Tech, Protoform, WRC and TRG bodies: they all have good looking bodies that fit just fine on the X1 and don't have moulded in driver heads, which I personally like 10x better because it gives a more realistic look.

(and yes, all protoform bodies fit on the X1, but the Fifteen needs quite a bit of cutting at the rear to make it fit)

I've seen a couple of cars using these beautifully moulded rear diffusers in F1.

Has anyone tried one, was there are discernable difference? If so, where do you find them?

2015 X1 owner
It is necessary to have the flowing steering on your 2015 ?
it is worth the time to converter to one or two damper tube shock?

Steering: not unless you have a very bumpy track

dual rear dampers: imo yes, more rear grip , more consistent, last longer between needing re-lube

A sinlge rear damper tube replacing the shock is also good , but not as good imo

That said, before he posts: I have been beat by a car with a single damper tube well 'outqualified' I should say hehe
