With the talk of USF1 now defunct. Why is there still a ruling on the X1 wings being the hard plastic. I like the lexan one.

........ But since I have to go with the masses. Ive got 3 different wings now. How about some good close up pics of how you guys have mounted them. Ive currently got the stock Xray body mounted and not looking to change that anytime in the near future. Ive also got Xray front wing install kit for when I do that change.

I really notice little difference between a Tamiya wing and the Lexan one, except that the hard plastic is slightly more durable.

To answer your question, though... I made a crude adapter similar to the alum. one Xray sells out of some 2mm CF. Lot cheaper since I had the CF laying around.

I noticed this with my car, and tried the piece of plastic method which worked ok for a couple of race meetings.
I then placed a 0.1 mm shim under the bottom bearing and that helped eliminate a good amount of the slop.

Fathead,
Where did you get the front arms to make a 200mm car?

sorry thad bad english.
I took a few hard hits and my chassis is slightly twisted as well. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!! Even tweaked she is a force to be wreckin' with. I have disassembled it and inspected everything twice. Any other thoughts or similar experiences? I will buy a new chassis if need be but more importantly stay off the wall

It's quite funny really, everyone has the same problem, nobody can fix it or figure out why and yet depsite the worst tweak ever seen on an R/C car the Xray X1 is still superior to every other F1 car on the market.

I am curious what Xray will due to fix this. I'm kinda anal retentive about my equipment but if a twist like this will happen regardless than maybe I will just keep my lucky twist LOL

I wonder if the plastic inserts in the front graphite suspension plates have anything to do with the tweak?
Is the issue also experienced by those that have substituted the aluminum components?
