Ha ha. The "Unboxing" of an Xray X1 is like a strip tease show. All that's missing is the "bow chika wow wow" music playing in the background.

Let me tease you some more, here it is!

We haven't painted the included body yet, but it's good looking though!
It's a really good kit, and I'm saying that while I digg Tamiya F1's.

(sorry the pics aren't very good, it was a bit chaotic here on our indoor track)

For crying out loud, Thaan! Put some clothes on that naked X1. There are kids that look at these posts.

Well, we did, but it isn't the XRAY body so it wasn't very appropriate..
The front wing is the XRAY wing but the body is the Mon-Tech F2011 or something, one that we had lying around and someone here found to ugly to see or even add to our website. *clears throat*

Until it was painted and actually looked quite good.

Tyres are Ride, but GQ foam tyres also looked good on it.
We're going to make some more testruns on our own indoor track on Sunday, we'll put up some video material.

I'll test tomorrow if a Tamiya F60 body will fit, I'll post it tomorrow.

Quick question RE the diff on the X1. I noticed its a ball diff, is this the norm for pan cars and f1 cars?

Yes. Has been for seemingly forever.

Hoping to get one depending on pricing either from Australia or RC Mart. Though I do still really like the look of the VBC LightningF.
