Default Possessed Car after Upgrading

Hey guys, need some advise. I just upgraded to brushless motor on Friday. Didn't get a chance to test it out as I was late going somewhere and left it out in garage. (It was raining out)

When I tried running it when I got home several hours later, the car started acting possessed. It zipped off a few feet then stopped then it just started lurching forward on it's own. I seem to be able to get it working but steering was a bit strange for short periods then it goes all crazy again. Any advice would be good. I'm rather new to this and my cousin who usually guides me along has moved away.

Check the wires to the motor, if they are not in the right order it will act erratic.
