firstly, im sorry if theres a thread like this already...

okay, im thinking of getting a discharge tray to maintain my stock racing packs, but im not looking to spend HEAPS of money...

i was looking at the team much more zero-v or the integy zero 6s or something along the lines of...

what do you all reccomend???

and where can i get a good price on the products you suggest?

your help will be greatly appreciated...

I'm very happy with my Integy Zero. It gets the job done and it's less than $20. That clinched it for me. The 6S wasn't released at the time, and you may want to get that instead. I always discharge on my charger before traying, and the regular Zero is quick enough for me.

I had a hobby store order mine, and I paid list price - $19.99, but I think I've seen it advertised around $15.

where have you seen the integy zero6s advertised for $15? I have the zero thirty and that thing is great.

For stock class all you need is the Integy zero thirty,$49 at Murdocks RC,this thing is pretty much the standard for stock and 19T class now.

He said the Integy Zero not Zero6S.

I just ordered the Integy Zero to go along with my Spintec discharger. It's an expensive combo but the results speak for themselves.

also, whats the difference between the zero and zero 6s?

could someone point me in the direction of a good online shop i could buy these trays from??? that also has a good stock of other rc gear

The 06S has a higher discharge rate than the 0 and it is more advanced in design.

These two trays are basically for equalizing your cells. You would first want to discharge your packs at around 30 amps then equalize.

I have the integy Zero. For $20 it is impossible to go wrong. It has a nice mild equalize action about 0.5A on the cells. You may want to stay a little clear of the 6A version, the indicator bulbs break if you breathe on them too hard, I've seen it happen a few time at my club.

The Integy zero thirty for $49 at Murdock rc is the best one out right now.It will individually discharge and equalize at 30 amps down to 0 volts,works on 4 cells or six.

Do you have to discharge the pack before using a discharge board? I have been seeing a few people say to discharge the pack first.

I'm so glad you started this thread. I had the same question as you.

So with the above suggested discharge boards, the boards will discharge the battery and equalize, correct? Or do I have to discharge first then equalize with the board? If so, what do I discharge with? Bulb-discharger? Is there anything that will discharge and equalize?

So, what's the difference between the Indi Zero, Indi Zero 6-S and the other more expensive ones if they basically do the same thing? I'm not looking to pay extra for bling. Like the original poster, I just want something to work. Thanks.

It's better to discharge first at around 30A but you need to have a cut off point at about 1v per cell. Any lower and you risk reverse charging a cell.

ah, my promatch batteries are 35amp, do i still discharge at 30 or 35? Will promatches and the SMCS's do ok with the INtegy 6-s? Also, from the picture at Speedtech, how does it discharge? what do you hook it up to?

Go with the Novak Smart Tray. R/C is not cheap if you want to do well. You only have to buy the Smart tray once. An investment. Your batteries will like you for it.
