F104 Rear end grip

Im having issues with my F104 spinning out (as in doing a loop. Not tire spin) under breaking. I have little to no rear end grip. Its a total stock set up. How can I fix this? Makes it very hard to corner in hair pin turns.

Im trying to find a balanced set up. Where the car wont push in the corners nor spin out

Try turning down the braking strength.
Also, that rires are you running?

Or check the existing F104 and F1 threads

Try less rear droop.

Im running the stock tires.

I think its probably the diff. You run the diff too tight and the car will spin on the entrance of the turns. Try loosing it just a little, and if it keeps doing it, loosen more and more. Remember if the spur gear slips at all, its too loose. I have no experience with the kit f104 tires. But I have heard they are not that great, but are ok on asphalt.

So what is the type of surfce you are running on?

Yes try removing droop and loosening the diff. If that doesn't work get new tires. Kit tires usually don't work well at all.

Do you use traction compound? , in certain situations it can really help with traction.

Im running on asphalt. And yea Im not to thrilled with the kit tires. No compound, just running in the street

Asphalt is a different creature. This might help you out. I have mostly run F104 on carpet surfaces. I have tinkered with driving a carpet prepped f104 on the asphalt but not with kit tires. I was using the Shimizu 574 and 572 combo. When I would try to turn the car even at a slight angle the car would loop.

If yours is looping on asphalt. Just relieve a little tension on the diff, dial your drag brake down a little, use tire dope and see what happens. Are competitive or just operating to get the feel of it?

Now you have told us alot, just by the no tire dope and surface.

Im just racing my family members. We all have F104s and Im getting smoked in the corners because I keep looping out. I have to come to an almost complete stop to make a corner
